You know it’s spring when these start appearing everywhere! Asparagus are generally available from mid April until mid June, so take advantage while it lasts. Eat ’em boiled, steamed, stirfried or roasted. For example just with some extra virgin olive oil, lemon juice and salt!
It’s that time of the year again, blood oranges are in season! Never tried? They are a type of orange with a really intense flavour and in Europe are grown mostly on Sicily. The red colour in the flesh develops during cold nights and for that reason they are only available during some weeks in winter. Find them in organic grocery stores.
