Pizza all his life
No surprise with his Moroccan-Italian background, Salah Ait has been eating pizza all of his life. At a young age he worked as a pizza delivery boy, later as a cook and manager in various restaurants. It has always been his dream to open up his own place, and with Trevi’s this dream has become reality!
Since he has been vegetarian all of his life, and recently gone vegan, of course his restaurant had to be a vegan place. Named after his hometown Treviso (nothern Italy) which he left four years ago to settle in Amsterdam.
All the classics
The menu offers a variety of typical Italian dishes: antipasti, panini, pasta, focaccia and of course pizza, all freshly made, see picture of menu below! Some desserts as well and various Italian beverages. Note: no alcohol at the moment. Salah’s personal favourite is the Pizza Filipo: with roasted eggplant, sundried tomato and balsamic cream.
Various homemade (e.g. pesto and vegan parmesan) and imported Italian products are also available to buy.
Inside there are just six tables, hence reserving is recommended. In the evening they work with two timeslots: 18:00 – 20:00 and 20:00 – 22:00. Delivery is also possible. Nice to know: owner Salah designed and built the interior all by himself! Simple but beautiful.
Trevi’s started as a temporary restaurant, initially open just in February and March. But, the owner is hoping it can continue after that.
Trevi’s is located just off the southern end of Ferdinand Bolstraat, tram and metro stops nearby.
