De Groene Meisjes
De Groene Meisjes (translates as ‘The Green Girls’) started out as Merel and Jamie, two vegan girls who live in Amsterdam East and who are probably the most well-known vegan bloggers in the Netherlands. They started their website in 2011 writing about green lifestyle subjects like vegan food, thrift store shopping and green travel. By now they reach a national audience of thousands of visitors every day, sharing vegan recipes and answering questions about being vegan. Thereby they inspire many people to try out a vegan lifestyle. They are often mentioned in magazines and published their first book in 2015. Jamie recently quit with the project but Merel will continue!
