Vegan bakery specialised in cinnamon rolls with different toppings.
It was the time of corona lockdowns back in 2020, when Antwerp-based fashion influencer Dennis van Peel first started baking cinnamon rolls. His friends liked them a lot, and then also friends of friends.
He opened a Have A Roll pop-up shop in Antwerp a year later. Soon after more shops followed in Belgium: in Ghent and Brussels. Eventually they crossed the border by opening a store in Amsterdam, October 2023.
Everything is vegan and freshly baked every day. They offer nine different cinnamon rolls, two of them change all the time as their monthly specials. The base of all the rolls is the same, but they vary in the type of topping. For example, from the regular ones there’s one with cookie dough and chocolate chips. There’s one with pistachio frosting and caramalised almond shavings, or pick the Belgian classic with Speculaas crumble and frosting.
During weekend days they also offer Kanelbullar aka Swedish style cinnamon buns.
Besides your regular coffee options they have on the drinks menu matcha latte, chai latte, hot choc and more.
Have A Roll is located at Van Woustraat, De Pijp. No seating inside but they have a bench outside on the pavement. Close to Albert Cuyp market.
Tram 4 stops nearby. Also available for delivery.
