Vegan Italian pasta restaurant, located near Oosterpark.
The way forward
They are two Italian cousins, who grew up in Germany. Being vegan/vegetarian and passionate about food, Marco and Moris developed an idea to start a vegan restaurant together. “We want to modernise Italian cuisine, and show that you can make delicious things completely vegan,” says Marco. Initially he went vegan just to try it after his girlfriend started eating that way. It made him feel better and he realised: “This is the way forward, not just for me, but for the whole world.”
So they veganised Italian classics, but also created completely new dishes with their own shapes and fillings. All the pasta they use is made by themselves in a production kitchen elsewhere. They opened the restaurant in November 2023.
As a starter they have a ‘Mixed Antipasta Platter’. After that a wide variety of pasta dishes, some more traditional, others more experimental. Rigatoni, tagliolini, linguine, spaghetti, calamarata, fusilli, gnocchi, casarecce, ravioli, girasoli, lasagna! For example ravioli filled with Italian porcini mushrooms served with fresh sage butter and roasted walnut. Even a glutenfree pasta option. Check out their menu here. Also some vegetable sides and desserts like tiramisu.
On the drinks menu you’ll find typical Italian aperativos and digestivos, as well as Italian beers and wines.
They also offer their own sauces and fresh pasta types to take home, just choose from the counter. Also some shelves with Italian delicacies for sale, like wines, olive oil and balsamic vinegar. On the counter check out their homemade vegan amaretti cookies, available in six different flavours.
About twenty seats inside. Their food is available on various delivery platforms as well.
