They were aiming for something that would offer the same kind of guilty pleasure as a Big Mac, but vegetarian! It was during corona times, and longtime friends Simon and Mathieu were thinking about starting their own restaurant. In Amsterdam they missed decent options when you’re craving a burger, but don’t want to eat meat (or something mimicking meat).

They started out experimenting by preparing different sandwiches for each other, then for a birthday catering, then signed up on a delivery platform while restaurants were closed because of corona restrictions.
