Vegan-friendly ‘eatery’ open for breakfast / lunch / dinner located in Amsterdam East. First opened in De Pijp but that location is closed now.
The Meets opened spring 2016 with the intention of creating a space where people can enjoy healthy food, mostly plant-based. Fun fact: when they first opened they didn’t actually have a name yet.
The Meets has meat and fish on the menu, but most of the dishes are vegan. Everything is homemade and free from refined sugars. Lots of options for breakfast, including pancakes and croissant. Options for later in the day are sandwiches, burgers, salads (like the spicy caesar salad with avocado, chickpea croutons, almond parmesan) and soups. Main dishes include a curry bowl, pad thai and farinata pizza style – made from chickpea flour. Also plenty of snacks, and sweet options like chocolate tart (with dark chocolate and peanut caramel sauce!), carrot cake and vegan Twix.
The Meets is located at Sumatrastraat, just around the corner of Javastraat in the east of Amsterdam.
