Now that many shops and all restaurants are closed due to corona, many small food businesses are struggling to make ends meet. A few initiatives have been set up in the past few weeks which offer a box filled with vegan food and sometimes with some other products as well. Check ’em out.
VegTable Box
100% vegan box created by the folks of vegan restaurant Marit’s Eetkamer together with branding agency W. Green. This very varied box contains products from 15 different brands, food and non-food. Includes products from restaurants Yerba and Marit’s Eetkamer / Patu. Pick-up possible in Amsterdam Oost, otherwise delivery in the rest of Amsterdam. ► Website
The Karma Box
Another 100% vegan box filled with a selection of 10 – 12 different products by local entrepreneurs. Selection changes every month, can be delivered every Wednesday. Based in Amsterdam but available throughout the whole Netherlands. ► Website
Kitchen Republic
Box filled with goods made at Kitchen Republic, where food start-ups can rent a kitchen space. Upon request the box can be filled with vegan goods only (leave this as a request in the comment section when you order). Mooncake
Foodiebag filled with products selected by food blogger Mooncake, aka queen of culinary treasures (streetfood and foreign food products)! The bag is vegetarian, but can be made vegan upon request and will probably contain many special foreign food products.
