Vegan burger place at Ferdinand Bolstraat.
Ditched the meat
Used to be Nude Burger Club (non-veg) but changed to all vegan Virgin Burger end 2020. Why? Probably more out of commercial reasons than their slogan ‘eat beans, not beings’ suggests. But selling vegan burgers instead of animal meat burgers is a good thing of course, more places should follow!
Virgin Burger could finally open for real June 2021, when the second corona lockdown ended. From the same owners as Mr. Stacks, which also went fully vegan some time ago.
Burgers and milkshakes
The menu is pretty straightforward, not too many options but it covers the basics. A big vegan burger is one of their main dishes. Other vegan junkfood classics as well, like their version of a kapsalon (called Vegan Shawarma Fries), pita shawarma, fries, milkshakes. Maybe their most surprising dish is the Twisted Caesar Salad: a salad including a burger patty topped with a slice of vegan cheese!
Virgin Burger is located at Ferdinand Bolstraat, De Pijp. Tram and metro stops nearby (metrostation De Pijp). In the same street as popular Vegan Junk Food Bar.
