From Paris to Amsterdam
The first Wild & The Moon restaurant opened in Dubai, by Parisian entrepreneur Emmanuelle Sawko. This became such a success that more restaurants in Paris followed. So far they have 10 locations in Paris, some include seating, others are just take-away. The idea behind Wild & The Moon is to offer ultra-healthy food to people. All their food is vegan, organic, gluten- and sugar-free.
When Dutch entrepreneur Nick Peperkamp visited one of the Paris locations, he was immediately impressed by the concept, and proposed to branch out to the Netherlands. So eventually Wild & The Moon Amsterdam opened January 2022 in De Pijp.
A second location at the Zuidas opened September 2022.
Vegan bulletproof coffee
In the fridges they have various smoothies (for example one of them made with cashew nut milk and cbd extract), juices, spreads, pudding and salad bowls which you can get yourself, ready for take-out.
At the counter they have on display lots of different pastries: blueberry scone, banana cake, tomato muffin, chocolate tart, cookies. Here you can also order some hot meals: vegetable soup, bahn mi sandwich, various burgers and more! For hot drinks they offer coffee, teas and various lattes like matcha, turmeric or chai. They even have vegan bulletproof coffee, a drink popular amongst followers of a keto diet, and made with butter. Here they use coconut oil for it.
They are also selling some food items not necessarily for immediate consumption, like granola, superfood powders and a snack made with ‘activated cashew nuts’. So far unfamiliar with the latter, but these are cashew nuts which are soaked first, then dried in a dehydrator until they get crunchy again . It is said this method has health benefits!
The food is definitely on the pricier side, but then again they are using lots of high quality ingredients.
Branching out
Their ambition is to eventually open up in other Dutch cities as well.
There is some seating inside. Wild & The Moon is located at the southern part of Van Woustraat, De Pijp. Tram stops for tram 3 and 4 nearby.
